Motherhood can make you feel like you’ve become boring. Days stretch out ahead, all similar, all long. You find yourself thinking about fabric softener, when the baby last did a poo, and how stupid you were to think you were tired back before the kids came along.
But motherhood isn’t boring. It’s fun, it’s rewarding and it’s a bloody hard job. Motherhood only seems boring to those who have no interest in living it (read: your single friends who still live it up in Ibiza three times a year and can get away with prosecco brunches.
Here at Boring Mother, we know how it feels. We know how those daily mundane decisions all add up to the bigger picture of raising a human. We’re all trying to get it right (and we’re all kind of floundering – even if others think we’re totally bossing it).
